Following an excellent performance on Saturday in the Second Round Qualifying fixture of the FA Trophy, where Newmarket Town produced a strong display at home against Gorleston FC, attention quickly turned to today’s Third Round Qualifying draw.

With clubs from Step 3 entering the competition at this stage, we knew the next round could present a significant challenge, and the draw has delivered exactly that. Newmarket Town have been handed a home tie against Leighton Town, who compete in the Southern Premier Central League at Step 3.

The fixture will take place on Saturday 26th September, and promises to be a fantastic occasion as the Jockeys test themselves against higher level opposition in front of the home crowd.
